  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs, room temperature

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Scoop into 2-teaspoon-sized balls, place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and freeze until solid.

  2. In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix until combined.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture. Mix in the chocolate chips.

  4. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 2–3 hours or overnight.

  5. Scoop 1-tablespoon-sized balls of cookie dough. Flatten half and place a frozen cheesecake ball in the center. Cover with another dough ball, seal edges, and form into a ball.

  6. Place on baking sheets, chill while the oven preheats to 350°F (175°C).
